I mentioned I’m on the Culver City Landlord Tenant Mediation Board. Even as a renter I was opposed to rent control as an economic disaster and a choking off of housing from people willing to pay for it. I think institutions like this are a great way to bring different economic parties to the table and keep things from boiling over into something like rent control.
